Rifle buffer on carbine

You should. While I do prefer to collapse my stock to keep the 11.3" package short, the rifle length action is very smooth feeling even over the A5. It's close, but I can tell the difference.

At some point I want to try out a fixed stock/rifle buffer paired with like a 10.5 - 12.5" upper.

If i was buying today, it would be an xlr industries stock.

It seems like the Magpul rifle stock is more like A2 length.

They list the LOP at 13.5"

Fulton Armory lists the A2 LOP at 13.5" and the A1 LOP at 12.875"

Doesn't Magpul make an A1 stock?

It's A1 length but the style is very different. I have one on my 20" and the QD spots are very nice over the standard rifle stock.

Good catch! I had thought it was A1 length because it doesn't require a spacer, but now I realize that the screw is inside the storage door adding LOP. Being that I'm 6'4", I actually prefer this length and set my carbine stocks similarly.
