From what's been documented on TOS the affected lot numbers have all been "SMQ18C" lot numbers.
Good to know. Appreciate the information!

I agree. Being a Hornady guy for hunting ammo and LC for shooting ammo I thought the team up between them would have been fantastic.

Me too. I thought it was a bargain, at roughly the same price as foreign steel case / steel bullet stuff. I guess not.

I don't get it. When I load a 55 grain Hornady bullet into a Frontier case, it's just fine. The factory can't do that?

Hornady's marketing and CS has been smoke and mirrors for decades, so having them play stupid about their crappy ammo isn't surprising.

The only bobble in 20 years of the old Bushie was one of these rounds. Bolt failed to strip a round. I thought it was a bad mag (NHMTG GI 20 known to be good) but it has worked fine since with my homebrew and Federal 55s.

I've reloaded the brass without issue.

    I'm avoiding it.
Correction: this problem turned out to be a bad magazine after all. But I'm still not using this ammo.

Craaap! I just checked my 500 round case and sure enough......SMQ18C867-007. Welp, that’s that I suppose. Save it for some odd SHTF event.
