    I have one M16A1 rerun and the XM177E2 rerun.

    They are, by far, the best reproductions. Its worth buying for a clone project just for the lower as it is the only clone you will ever have that actually uses the original roll marking dies and looks factory.

    I took both of mine and rebuilt them using an original new 1967 M16A1 upper and took the XM177E2 and rebuilt it with original new XM177E2 parts I had in my collection.

    Thank you. The Colt M16A1 Reissue is based on the early 1967-1970 M16A1. That is the reason they provide the 3-prong and A1 FHs. The SP1 (originally released in 1963)is based on the Model 602 as the XM16E1 and M16A1 did not exist at the time. The XM16E1 did not come about until early 1964 and the M16A1 in Feb. 1967.
