    Lever Action Storage ?

    Hey guys -

I am trying to help my dad store some of his old lever actions. I was pulling one out and I noticed new scratching in the foregrip because of a front sight of a neighboring lever actions. I know these are tools and I'm not to worried, but I would like to keep these nice for my dad -lots of sentimental value for him.

I would normally throw it in a silicone gun sock, but idk with all the wood how that would workout in the long run. Any special considerations? I've never had to deal with wooden stock firearms lol.

I keep all my marlins in MidwayUSA gun socks. No issues.

    Silicone impregnated gun socks.
I keep my old Wincester LGs in those, in the safe(s).

A silicone gun condom is a good way to prevent safe rash.

I also use Bore Store covers for anything needing extra protection over a gun sock.
Much thicker, like a heavy fleece jacket. heavy enough to be used as a gun case.
