    Did this to two of my old GI mags a year or so ago that had cracked/broken tabs. They worked and I figured I'd just keep quiet about it and use them as practice/range mags lest I talk and end up in the gunsmithing hall of shame thread. LOL. Thanks for posting and confirming I'm not the only outside the box tinkerer out there. BTW, yours turned out a little neater and better finished than mine and I appreciate the thought that went into it.
