Notice what they are saying. They have 110 days worth of inventory remaining in the pipeline and likely weren't getting orders from distributors to keep them busy so they are stopping production. They aren't the only manufacturers going through this right now. The public can only buy so many items especially in an over saturated marketplace. Now personally, I am hoping things get really bad over the next couple years and a lot of these smaller manufacturers just die off. Sub $500 AR's are a problem and are undercutting quality manufacturers.

Hate free markets much do we?

I’ll be the first to trash talk PSA and the like but more guns in the hands of Americans is a good thing. Poverty tier or otherwise.

This isn't the first time colt has not wanted their guns in civilian hands, so I have no problem buying from companies that appreciate me.

And that’s worked out how exactly thus far?

In a perfect world the average American gun owner is a informed consumer. We do not live in a perfect world sadly.

This would be a an ongoing free market. The problem hasn’t solved itself, we are looking at a situation that can help it solve itself.

We see this in my industry. Our competitors are going to keep croaking as the economy sputters out. We’ll be fine.

Is there a way to firmly steer mass shooters to the truly wretched non-functioning jam-o-matic AR's? Man I wish there was.

As for Colt, I wish them well at whatever the heck their doing.

Well, Anderson and Ruger have been proving their proclivity to not conveniently jam in these instances.

Start planting memes saying "all the cool kids buy sub-Anderson stuff," maybe... (Full disclosure, I have ONE "poverty-pony" lower, and that's on a dedicated range-toy and only because I talked a local forum's owner into doing a run of Site Logo lowers and those were all he could get in the Panic of '16. Other than that, my personal "minimum" unless I machine it myself is Aero, and for my girlfriend I went all-out and bought her an Umbrella--which ironically means *her* gun is better than *mine.* )

I'd be tempted to say start memeing about how "you're not a REAL gun guy unless you Eighty Percent," but some of these losers are attentive to detail enough that they'd machine 'em right... and then bring *even more* unwanted attention on us DIY'ers.
