Colt to Suspend Civilian sells of AR's

This info. was told to my shop from Sports South, LLC who's a major distributor. I would assume they got the info. from Colt. I've got no skin in this game. Just passing on what may or may not be reliable info. I would assume any dealer her could call and verify this with their Colt distributors.

This is likely some told someone, who told someone, who told someone, who heard someone say something.

I have no doubt that Colt would prioritize filling contracted LE / MIL / FMS orders first; they (and likely every firearm company out there) likely do it all the time.

And why wouldn't they? Those contract have $$$ behind them and are likely less a$$ pain, since LE / MIL / FMS don't care about scuffs, roll marks vs laser engraving, etc, etc.

My guess is someone at Colt told a distributor "Hey, we just got a large contract and it's going to be sucking up 100% of our capacity for a couple of months". This retold a number of times became "Colt is suspending Civie Sales".

Funny, today there are a $hit load of 6920 OEM1s for sale today for $700-750.

ETA I thought it was common knowledge that Colt has “dry spells”. Then they are in abundance.

KAC, whom I love dearly, make no secrets that commercial buyers are way low on the totem pole. I waited almost 3 years for my ECC. And nobody makes up lies about KAC “cutting people off”.

Still...having a spare Colt or two not a bad idea. Not for neckbearding but because it is just good to have.

I have a virgin lower (or three....) that I have debated putting a URGI upper on just to piss off normies.

The LGS isn't the only thing full of shit. Commercial sales have NEVER been COLT's bread and butter. Unless you can back this up with some cold hard proof, STFU and move along quietly.
