Only Colt fanboyz care, there are better options today. I used to run Colt uppers on Bushie lowers because I refused to put up with their lower shenanigans.

At different times, oversize front pivot pin hole, screw retained front pivot pin, sear block, oversized FCG pins take your pick.

I thought this was a Fudd gun shop rumor until I came across this just now.

Well the price of Colt's just went up. Typical Colt timing to do this during a gun control push/election cycle that will drive demand up.

I wouldn't say that exactly, they may actually have contract to fulfill. However there was a time when a Colt AR would cost $2500+ during the ban and people paid it. They'll pay it again.

Maybe but Colt doesn't get the scalper prices, what they should be doing is pumping out as many rifles as they can right now. What has really hurt Colt is poor management decisions fed be a dislike of the commercial consumer, and labor agreements that tied them to a high labor cost state.

If Colt wants to make money what they should do is partner with someone like Brownell's supply Colt parts and let them do the assembly. To sweeten the deal start supplying Colt Canada parts also.

Well, I was considering getting a 6920 or something in November when I get my bonus, but I'm guessing those will be either non-existent or outrageously expensive by then.
So it looks like my 6520 is probably going to remain my only complete Colt rifle....
