I do not know if it was already asked, in this thread.

Will Colt continue to supply AR parts ?

I would hope so. At least some contract overrun BCGs. Maybe upper receivers and lower parts.

    BCGs would be nice

What parts would you want from Colt that aren't as good or better from BCM, SOLGW, and Sionics?

I am thinking as a collector who wants an original platform.

Don’t chase the dragon. FN middy barrels are good.
Really as much as I like Colt, there are other things I like too.

Like....if I cannot get a complete gun. I’d just want the SOCOM barrels.

Just saw this and did not read all the posts, however, my initial response: ok, so what? Colt or their parent company is pandering to the antigun, social justice warrior types by making this statement at a most opportune time. Do they also have legitimate business reasons? I don't know, maybe. Lets see, are there still AR's available? BCM, DD, LMT, Noveske, Rainier, would say yes! I had two 6920's, sold them about a year ago. They were great guns, the standard accurate and reliable descriptions befell them, my other AR's also exemplified the 'accurate and reliable' mantra as well.
However, if Colt is no longer, I don't care; the BCM, Rainier, and DD replacements are outstanding.

A vendor calls Colt for a large order. Colt gives the vendor a clue. Colt lets the rest of the big vendors in on clue.

Vendor leaks info out to gun gossip page.

    Gossip page ruins the internet.

Colt has to answer customer because social media.

News media sees this as something they can twist into supporting their narrative.

Internet people come to this thread and bash Colt.

There are many possible explanations. Personally i find it curious that the contract they split with FN was let in November of last year......It takes them10 months to figure out they have a production issue? That seems unlikely in any well run company.....

They went official with a second contract last week as well.

Commercial sales suck. Nobody is buying ARs. It’s a race to the bottom. This was likely their intention the entire time.

I think that an explanation offered by some is simply that this is further proof that it is not a well run company.
