Dude, the TDP is like Euro- it’s out, and it’s been out for a long time, even if everyone is pretending otherwise. It’s no secret and a litany of manufacturers are exceeding it on all levels.

For the record, I own three Colt variants.

“Exceeding” is a complete and total misnomer. An illogical fallacy if you will and certainly not an objectively valid metric of performance assessment. A particular widget is either made to the TDP spec or it’s not. Remove TDP from the equation and quantifying “better” becomes more palatable.

And really? Owning a token Colt is like someone saying they’ve got that one Jewish friend so they’re not an antisemite.
