It's hard to be a ACLU hating, philosophically Libertarian, socially liberal, fiscally conservative, scientifically grounded, agnostic, porn admiring gun owner who believes in self determination.
Chuck, we miss ya man.

The Mexicalis have been happy to illegally import illegal drugs into the US for the last 100 years. More than a few times I have heard it described as getting back at the Gringos for ——-(chose your own: Texas, War of 1846, Gadsden Purchase, etc.)
A few enterprising entrepreneurs decide to start some north to south trade beyond the scope of Mexican law - now we need to get up in arms? Bullshit.
The Mexican federal government, the PRI, massacred 1000 students in 1968 just for protesting. They probably used some Gringo guns that day.
The Mexican federal government massacred 43 students in 2014, before they even made it to the planned protest. They probably used some Gringo guns that day too.
The violence in Mexico is certainly not helped by gun smuggling, but it is an inconsequential drop in a very large bucket.
Mexico...LMFAO, which is the clean end of this turd?
Gettin' down innagrass.
Let's Go Brandon!
An interesting read.

A lot of fail bundled together in that article. Half of US gun dealers would collapse if not for the Mexican illegal arms market?? Riiiight.
No mention of cartels stealing US rifles from the Mexican army that we supplied? No mention of US govt operating an unmonitored gun running businesses supply the Sinaloa cartel with arms because we had a high level CI running it? No mention of police forces and Army units across Mexico (often armed with US guns) so corrupt that only the Marines are trusted?
And why should gun smuggling be a US law? It does not affect anything in our country directly. If Mexico doesn’t like it they can enforce their own import and firearm laws like we do. Oh wait...the politicians are owned by the cartels that are buying the guns! My bad.
Most of the story revolves around corrupt authorities with legal but heavily regulated access to the weapons, not law-abiding civilian gun owners. Former police officer and regulated FFL. Gun manufacturer. Army sergeant. And the NRA gave Trump $30 million?! Maybe gave Wayne that much, but Trump?!
It is in vain, sir, to extenuate the matter. Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace but there is no peace. The war is actually begun! ... I fired one of Garwood's miniguns back in 2006: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_c...&v=I7VJtF8OX_M
MM...I am sooo jealous!! I need to run the numbers & figure the grains of lead per minute coming out of those guns.
Pilgrim...the narcos get their's from anywhere they can but been following the narco blogs forever just cuz I live here. A lot of the major hardware is, as you stated from the Military. Remember, the military is in charge of what weapons & munitions the civi can even own & the roots of the starting of all the turmoil (Zetas & CDG) has connections & assuredly expanded. The article is flawed but again more about the mini that the politics of mex.
I haven't been across in 5 years but there is / was no enforcement of traffic going sotb...got stopped twice in 15 years for the random x-ray truck that looks for cash & weapons. It's not a priority or the funds are not there & being spent on north bound goods / services.

Pretty amazing a gun manufacturer such as Garwood would be dumb enough to sell M134 receivers on the black market. How did he not figure those would be traced back to him?! Not exactly a low profile weapon!!!
I guess a trunk full of money today can blind some folks to 99 yrs in an orange jumpsuit and a bunk mate.
