Don't cheap out on DPMS for half the price. I've seen irregular lengths and diameters (they were replaced, but still).
These are from Big G, actually Alice G, but same G quality:

Description for ACT pins: The trigger and hammer pins are improved over stock mild steel by using precipitation hardened 17-4 stainless steel. Pins are precision ground to a fine finish, dimpled, and a diameter 0.001” larger than stock to reduce play in the trigger assembly while retaining a slip fit into the weapon lower receiver. Both pins are finished with a black Nitride finish for increased wear and corrosion resistance.
I've had good luck with anything I've bought from KNS, and the price is right:

Rifle: AR-15, M-16. Sizes: Small .154 dia.; Small .1555 dia.; Large .170 dia. Stainless steel pins. Match grade stainless steel replacement pins for trigger and hammer. CNC machined for correct fit. The .1555 dia. pins are designed to tighten up worn receivers or to be installed in new receivers with match trigger sets to remove all free play. These will fit in new receivers without any machine work.(.1555 – will not fit Jewell Trigger System.)

$18 for 2 pins... Makes my $32 each "G" sling swivels look like a bargain.
Hey, it comes out of the Geissele shop. In all seriousness, there is no doubt in my mind they are quality pins, the question is:
In reality is the increase in quality worth the increase in price?
Reference the price on the pins, those are from the ALG ACT and are the same price as the generic pins from G: https://geissele.com/replacement-tri...atibility.html
As for myself, when I was building up my parts supply I bought a lot of KNS stuff using these as the basis of my LPK's: https://www.knsprecisioninc.com/prod...wer-parts-kit/
My thoughts regarding LPK's were that I rarely use the mil-spec bolt catch, mag release, and safety, so why pay for them in an LPK?

Interesting. The ACT pins I have are NiB coated (silver in color). Looks like they are now nitrided across the product line. The only difference I see between the ALG and the G pins is the number of grooves.
