Observations after several range trips:
1. Q4318 NATO seems to be made for this gun. Accurate and reliable. 115 grain standard pressure stuff works too.
2. 147 is too weak to reliably cycle, and is very inaccurate.
3. Blowback action means gun and magazine get very dirty even after 100 rounds. I haven't run it hard, but it could be that if you keep it wet, it'll run dirty. It did start life as a SMG , after all.
4. Recoil definitely is higher than M193 in a 6920. Certainly not enough to be a problem, but noticeable. Maybe this is why the SMG version never really caught on.
5. It's quieter than a 9mm pistol, and much quieter than a M4. I wanted a carbine to replace the shotgun for home defense (30>7) and I thought the flash and blast of my 6920 would be too much.
6. Metalform 32 round magazines are $23-25 if you look and are OEM. They work 100%.
7. A Lula loader is essential.
8. I have not tried any hollow points. Any of y'all have experience?
9. Key point: AR6951 is an AR and as such requires zero retraining. Good if the door goes crunch at 2 a.m. It's handier than the pump shotgun and holds many more rounds.
