Question Winchester Purple 62gr LE Training Ammo

I bought a case of this purple dyed open tip 62gr LE training ammo from Target Sports USA. I haven't shot any yet. I was trying to remove the die with some nail polish remover. I found a dimple in the case. I went through that box. 7 out of 20 have "defects." Is this reject ammo? Anything wrong with it?

Even though this is open tip I am thinking it isn't expanding.

The only thing wrong with it is the price.

Yea, well that might be a moot point right now.

I looked to see if anyone had done any jello shots with this. I was interested to see if it would spread open.

Minor case dents don't hurt anything. They'll fire form right out.

That training ammo is designed to have the same trajectory as a duty round, not expand reliably.

Dented shoulders are common with this ammo- doesn’t affect function. It is meant for quals and training only. Velocity is a little faster than Federal 64 grain. The finish comes off while tumbling leaving a blue tint on the nickel-finished cases..

XM193 is pretty ugly, including dents. But it's good stuff.
