Glock MOS sight height lower 1/3 co-witness

I don't want the rear sight up in the middle of my view. Prefer to be lower 1/3 like my M&P's are with rear sight in front of the RMR.

This a first for me, rear sight then RMR, don't want to confuse myself. I will use Ameriglo black on black sights.

    Thanks

I'm in the same boat: trying to find the correct information and buy once and then pass the correct information onto my guys.

I do know that it depends on which plate you're using as different companies have different thickness of their plates.

For me specifically, I'm going to be using a CHPWS plate and have been searching for the straight dope on what height Ameriglo blacked-out sights (or model) give me 1/3 co-witness.

I'm setting up a gen 5 G19 MOS with Holosun 507C and plate from CHPWS and have been looking for this information as well. Someone on TOS said they were using the Ameriglo GL-429 sights so that's what I'm trying out. Unfortunately UPS could not be bothered to deliver my optic yesterday so I couldn't get it all put together yet. Hopefully Monday I'll be able to tell you for sure if this combination works out.

I too have the CHPv3 plate on my MOS slide. I used the Trijicon MOS HD/XR sights at first, but I found the deal on an RMR.
The distance from the slide to top of RMR at rear is .250" ish. About the same height as the HD/XR MOS rear sight, actually .231".

Looking at Ameriglo single sights, Frt black and Rear black, A .315/.330/.350 front??
    Rear .360/.394??

A .394" rear will pace the top of the sight well above the back of the RMR with the C&H plate. The bottom of the notch will be ?? IDK

I'm not machinist precise with a caliper. Close counts like Horseshoes and hand grenades.

Check out 10-8 performance. I put a set of their mos sights on my 34 and their right at the bottom of the rmr. Ended up with a .315 front for a perfect match.

From Big Tex Outdoors website on Ameriglo sights.

    GL-429/329 sightsescription
AmeriGlo Suppressor Night Sight Set (Tritium Front/Tritium Rear)
Fits All Glock Models (Excl. 42/43)
Not Tall Enough for Co-witness on Glock MOS models
Front: Green Tritium Lamp w/ White Surround: .315″ Tall x .125″ Wide
Rear: Green Tritium Lamps w/ White Surrounds: .394″ Tall x .150″ Notch
Perfect for Lower 1/3 Co-witness with Battle Werx Glock RMR Cut

Ameriglo suppressor night sights are for use with handguns fitted with both suppressors and/or aftermarket red dot sights. The taller night sights allow for sight line clearance of pistol mounted suppressors, or the co-witness of pistol mounted red dot optics.
Tritium or not, it's the sight height I was looking for/at information.

    Apparently too short

From Ike at Big Tex Outdooors

    Hey RKHarm24,

With the MOS cut the 429 will be a little too short. For the RMR + MOS, the 470 would be the way to go. It will be a little between lower 1/3 and full co-witness. https://www.bigtexoutdoors.com/produ...t-rear-gl-470/

    Thanks!
