Thanks, good to know. My reason for this is I carried a well used XM177E2 in my helicopter from 1984-1992, and replaced it a couple years later with an M4. And even after that I carried an MP5 strapped in with me. That 177E2 has sentimental value for me, despite it being at the end of its lifespan. Had a tendency to pop off two rounds when in Semi (not all the time).

I am thinking that if I vary the Colt logo so it is not exact, the bigger shops will engrave it. They do custom logos, and I'm not replacing the serial number or the maker, just adding some pizazz to the left side of the mag well.

San Antonio Laser Engraving seems to do pretty much anything you want.

I don't know if they will do it but Tar Heel State does a great job. https://tarheelstatefirearms.com/sto...egory&path=119

I have a friend who is looking to have some similar work done, and he said he'd try to reach "Braceman". We'll see what transpires. Seems to be a good selection of possible engravers for such work.

I bought a couple suppressors from him awhile back and it all went very smooth. Chatted on the phone a bit too. Good customer service.

I used Ident Engraving forever ago. They did good work but I waited a loooooooong time. Price was fair. But again. Seasons came and went until I got my lower back

He just engraved my lower for an SBR. Send it to him on Saturday, had it back Thursday.
