Wait, people don't just krylon their shit and then shoot it?

I think it’s a bit bizarre that people will buy a pre cerakoted gun, and worry about scratching it up; like the fde M4A1. Now if you bought it and the finish had imperfections such as flaking, or whatever then I get it. But damn, when did the gun community become so worried about matching shades of FDE.

My DD M4A1 is carbine length but is not a FSP model. I got it around 2016 I think.

You guys have discouraged me from the DD.

So I’m doing a BCM 14.5 enhanced medium weight fluted upper with an MCMR on a BCM lower with an A5 buffer.

Dude, the DD is fine. If that's what you want, don't let some internet nobodies talk you out of it.

    But

When you start charging an unnecessary premium for what is considered baseline quality it’s tough to swallow.

Plus with folks paying 7-800 for mk18 RIS rails all DD had to do was bump production of them and the market would have been happy. But they didn’t. Never mind not even releasing the FSP versions.

Yeah, I am definitely not saying they are a perfect company by any means at all, and they definitely pushed in to the demand and sky high prices of the rails. The same ones refused to sell separately for years. Or at least until they set up in-house financing.

I have the factory pin and weld 14.5 BCM rifle. The BCM mod comp flash hider is horrible. It’s obnoxious and blows dust and debris around when shooting in low positions. Just beware if getting the one pinned and welded from the factory. Might be further ahead to get a nonwelded upper and pick your own muzzle device.

Yea was probably just going to do an A2X. None of their options are super appealing to me. Maybe the warcomp.
