Serious, at least Greta, who I don't completely agree with, is putting herself out there and trying to change things up.
But is she making things better or worse? People are focused on her and have never heard of Malala Yousafzai.

Guess what? Most people have no focus on either. They are in their own little world, with their troubles at the center of their universe.

Ah, yes, a valid point, I'd forgotten about bird hunting.

Dark Knight was OK, but overrated - it wouldn't have been the cultural icon that it was, if Heath Ledger hadn't committed suicide after it came out.
    Perhaps.
Although given the fandom also generally seems to regard well Ledger's performance as joker, vs other actors in the role, I'm not entirely convinced it did well merely because of the hype over him checking out a bit early.

Everything just dies. Parents, kids, grandkids, dogs, cats, ants, trees. Everything...(Snipped for brevity)...
Yes, everything *can* die, however that's not the point I was making.

I think Heath Ledger's performance was brilliant. But one (or two or twelve) brilliant performance does not a good movie make.

I’m at peace with God and my future. I still need to improve.

Humanity needs a God. If man refuses one, he clings to another, even if he must invent it.

Love your kids. Teach them to be honest, to work hard, to be kind, life is hard, and some things are worth dying for.

If I don’t count my religious belief, marrying my wife was the best thing I’ve ever done. I’ve laid my share and many were freaks, but nothin is better than a hot romp in the sack with your wife. There’s a fulfillment you just don’t get with a one night stand.

    Dogs are pure souls.

    Don’t be a pussy......

You can get almost anything done with these 5 guns:
    A good bolt action 22lr
    A 12 ga 870 or Mossburg 500
    A LMT MRP
    A LMT MWS
    A Glock 17/19

Kids, sure they're imps of satan here and there, but you get real meaningful input and feedback, a *human* level of interaction that no animal can match, the satisfaction of watching them learn and progress, and when it's your time to pass on hopefully you will have created something that meant something real to not only yourself, but the people your kids interact with and love. That whole "Circle of Life" thing.

    Dogs just die.
I have both. You are spot on with the kid stuff, but you've never had the privilege of having the right relationship with the right dog. I'm surrounded by dogs all day every day. I like them, but mostly I agree with your points about them as pets. Every once in a while something very special comes along. I've seen it several times because of the sheer volume of dogs I work with. Some dogs, some of the time, simply transcend the ideas that you and most people have about them. I feel sorry for you and the other people out there who haven't experienced this. If you'd ever shared your life with one of these dogs that I speak of, you'd think differently of them.

I'm sure at some point a mod has shouted this aloud when what I've been told are 'the usual suspects' start dropping gun redpills or some other goings on:

Ahh but don't think you aren't appreciated

My homeboy! Cats are like little demented wannabe-ninjas that just do not.give.a.shit.. It's hilarious. The only better pet I've had was the chinchilla.
I SO want a tiger/panther etc. It's just the "they might eat me" part that's a problem...

    I get that.
But coming from a position where I may never get the chance to do that, regardless of what I choose...and also coming from a MASSIVE pet-owner background (seriously, I've had a variety so far from goats to a chinchilla)... you eventually see the other side of the coin in regard to non-human companionship.
No fury from me.. I agree with you. Nothing in the world is 100%, but I believe a large amount of people get pets just so they have something to boss around or have power over. They also can't seem to keep control over those pets and let them roam around everywhere.. then they don't understand why I live trap their fur babies and rub them down with Gusto trapping lure (google it) and turn them lose again

Sure, but she is talking to the UN. Or more correctly she has been given a position where she can criticize the UN. And it's bullshit. If anyone should be able to take the UN to task it shouldn't be a propped up child presenting a skewed agenda backed by a bunch of freaking communists.

There are more important things, there are more important issues. I don't admire Greta's spirit or any of the other touchy / feeling things we are supposed to think about this "brave girl who is fighting for her environment" nonsense.

Give ALL HER TIME to somebody like Malala Yousafzai. She has important shit to say about things we can actually fix that will improve the lives of thousands of people RIGHT NOW, including specifically young girls who ARE powerless, who actually have been robbed of their childhoods and in many cases their lives. Girls are still being forced into slavery and servitude right now, why aren't we talking about THAT instead.

But of course, it's easy for some Euro twit to come along and bark criticisms at western countries over an issue Greta probably can't even comprehend. And if she actually could, she's be criticizing the biggest offenders such as Asia and Africa but I don't see her going to China anytime soon to tell them how they have stolen her child hood because they'd laugh her ass out of the building. She damn sure won't be going to Africa to criticize them about climate change, Boko Haram would trade her to a militia for a couple magazines full of 7.62.

You want to be a poster child for change? Ok Princess Diana actually walked into real minefields to draw attention to her cause. I was willing to listen to what she had to say. If instead she sent 8 year old Harry to lecture us about how landmines are killing African children and we are assholes because we make and use landmines I'd have told him to piss off.
