It's understandable. I find myself logging on less than I have in the past.
    Exactly this.

Must have just felt all that white guilt on top of owning all those HKs.

If he felt it was necessary, I fully understand. I've seen people lose jobs because they posted stupid shit on their facebook page. If I was an ER doc, I'd probably be less inclined to screw around with anything that could bring that to an end.

I think I disagreed with him more than a few times, but I always understood what he was trying to say. Hopefully he has a covert user and a system that is unrelated to work and is still here.

All it takes is ONE SJW type who feels you gave them a bad eval or feels you make too much money and they will use anything against you. If they can say you were posting nazi stuff on the internet they will, hell just being on a gun forum is enough for most to suggest a person is dangerous and "might shoot up the place at any moment." Anonymous reports to HR and you have to defend yourself against people and accusations that won't even be named in some cases.

Yeah, I don't have anyone that I have to answer to for the websites I visit or the things that other people post on them, and my Facebook page couldn't possibly be more boring to non-medical folks.

We understand all things have their "season." We hope that all the members (new, old, active, etc) find a thread or two that interests them whether on or off the site--that is one reason for the articles and newsletters to member emails.

We appreciate those who, over the last 13 years M4C has been in existence, have participated on threads and education on the site.

We do have a "Retired Staff" usergroup and have plans to have an "In Memoriam" usergroup as well to honor those we have lost.

Thank you for being a part of M4C in whatever way or time that works for you!

I think there are a few things going on.

First, I think some people moved on in life with jobs, families, or just lost interest.

I also agree that some people got tired of the same arguments again and again. I don't have the energy or motivation to debate the way I used to.

I think social media has gobbled up a lot of people's online time.

Then there is an effect of loosing certain people who would post a lot in that their posts may motivate other people to post in response.

So I think it is a combination of things.

I like to think of M4C as a Team House in some weird out of the way place. Shaky electricity, hostile locals, weird policia sirens in the distance that make that weird sound like to gay french dudes making out, errant gunfire a few blocks away. A team fridge of BYOB of strange Soviet Vodka, Coors banquet, Mr. Pibb, and Sprite.

Guys come and go either saying “no shit there I was....”, “Heheh check THIS shit out...”, or “Hey lookit, this thing made x sooo much easier”

Occasionally some twerp manages by, finds he is in the wrong neighborhood and Fs off. Its a come and go breezeway.

Barfcom is like......The Mall. Non-threatening muzak, non-threatening architecture, pre-planned zoning, and a lot of kids out from school. Every little thing is some big travesty where the mall cops swoop on you if you “look like trouble” Not a bad place to buy stuff but kinda lame to hang out in.

    Just my take.

Plus at M4C we don’t have mall cop mods. Either wall to wall counseling or they take you out and shoot you.

Life gets in the way, at times.

I've been here since the forum started but don't really post much. In that time, I've done some sales/deals with several members and even met a couple in person. I've been provided with some interesting content in the GD section and have shared my 2 centavos at times. Several times I've stepped away and many months later returned for information on a certain firearm/gear I'm considering picking up.

There's good info here. Not much chaff. Good guys sharing info, ideas and opinions. This has always been my firearms pub.
