I wouldn’t give up on it as a precision gun. You’ve already exceeded Larue’s requirements for an OBR. 5B5EF7B4-5C94-4F7E-ACC4-B72B1650B3ED.jpgCD8E998C-7528-4D87-9A6D-10D30F2D5EAF.jpg0CE30077-07E4-4FCA-8CF7-DAAF7FCD926B.jpg

I added a SSA-E and Radian Talon safety recently:

There is a certain comfort, during these times, of having a big bore gun that can reach out and touch, while still being maneuverable....

I have also decided to use the Lancer Mags as my main magazines, just because they seem so sturdily built.

Got my Sandman S in, have yet to shoot it, and who knows when that will even happen?

I was able, somehow, to make it out to at least a 100yd range today. Ran it with the Sandman K and Sandman S, both on suppressed setting. It ran like a champ, consistent ejection pattern the entire time. The K Can is a joke on this thing, but the S was certainly hearing safe. I'm only shooting M80, so MOA was MOFace for the day. Smallest group may have been 5 MOA, but with M80 this is a battle rifle and that is acceptable. We've seen 1MOA with better ammo, so I'm not worried about that.

    (Typical M80 Group at 100yds)

I took a shitty video of the cans with my cell phone and uploaded it to youtube, beware, I have no idea what I am doing with video editing or youtube.

Great info! How are you liking the DD adjustable gas block? Have you noticed any carbon lockup making it hard to switch positions? Does DD recommend any service/cleaning interval on the gas block?

No clue on the cleaning interval. Have not noticed any carbon lockup yet, another few mags down the tube today with no issues.

    Just my 0.02:

I think you would really like the magpul bipod compared to that harris.

When I had a 308 MSR10 I had the same experience with m80. Some of it would make a somewhat respectable 2" group and then another box was like 6" at 100. 147gr ball is all over the place in my experience. Also while some members have shot some truly incredible sub moa groups, a 1-1.5" group is very acceptable for a gas gun IMO. Bolt guns are just magical, but gas guns require a little luck, magic, and skill before they are true sub moa all day.

How’s this holding up after a year? Reliability? Accuracy? Any shortcomings that would steer someone away?
