    Remington Rand 1911A1

The president of our local shooting association recently mentioned he had a 1911 A1 Remington Rand, and I asked him to bring it along so I could take a few pics.

It has a patina to it, some might even say serious wear, a little pitting here and there (maybe rust points were rubbed off, hence reducing the finish), a few scars and mismatched grips.

Mag has an “L” stamped at the base

Nice gun, judging by the serial number that's a Remington Rand slide on an Ithica frame. That serial number range makes it from 1945.

Is the mag 2 toned? Nice early war 1910 holster. Doesn't look overly used or oiled. I like Milwaukee Saddlery leather items, they always have nice clear markings!
