I can tell you it's going to contribute to a lot of sight offset. Give me a damn Maxim design that rides below the bore with a QD mount. It's 100 years old and probably still the best way to go.



That needs to be in general issue more than the new stupid SIG handgun.

The problem is, it seems like these days, companies like HK, Knight's, etc. are usually too expensive for large scale, general issue stuff. Yeah, Knight's has the M110 for the snipers, and HK has their 416s for JSOC, and of course the MP5s. But other than that, it seems like the only companies that ever really get a fair shake at anything for the military are Colt, FN, Beretta, and SIG.

Yea the KAC LMG is straight up easy button for all of this.

I doubt price would matter considering the volume of units being ordered.

If you factor it against lives saved by having a few more of these in circulation, I think they would pay for themselves. They should at least have the Marines field test them.

Looks interesting but in order to accept the trade off of cumbersome magazine changes for increased ballistic performance, I would want a magazine of at least 45-50 rounds.

That’s assuming it works right and can actually get back into action in the event of a stoppage, and doesn’t require some sort of immediate action requiring three hands, a monkey, and a tool kit. Which being a bullpup it probably does have a wonky immediate action drill.

Looks like a Styer Aug, a False and an SA-80 had a threesome and that is the result and for good measure someone said hey let's stick an oil filter on the end of it and drill some holes in it.

I would not quibble about costs. The Army spends more money on computers and much more per soldier on the Land Warrior system.

I would be concerned that the firearms and the ammo are at least as reliable and durable as the current M4 and tradition brass cased ammo. If this is going to be a disaster, which I have a feeling it will, I hope it fails before being fielded.
