Heads up clone dorks: Brownells now selling complete Colt M4 lowers ($244 shipped)

    https://www.brownells.com/rifle-part...40-206687.aspx

Currently on backorder, but I just bought one for $244 shipped with code 'MCF' (10% off & free shipping)

There's also 4% cash-back if you use ActiveJunky (referral link). If you're into the clone game, this is probably a better/cheaper way than buying a complete 6920 and parting out the upper. Having seen the latest QC issues with the Trooper, I'd rather buy this and stick a BCM or KAC upper on it.

Felt like passing along the deal.

    Actual Colt. Nice.

The Colt AR-15 M4 Complete Lower Receiver is made entirely from 7075-T6 aluminum and features a black hardcoat-anodized finish for added durability.

    Marked for 5.56 NATO
    •single-stage semi-automatic trigger group
Equipped with M4-style buttstock and pistol grip

The Colt AR-15 M4 Complete Lower Receiver is built using the same parts and the same attention to detail as the company's popular line of LE6920 AR-15 rifles.

Wow, great deal for a complete 6920 lower.

Bought a Trooper not long ago (no QC issues on mine thankfully) but I'd definitely snag one if these if I hadn't just spent $700.00 and may still.

These are the good old days re: good stuff at lower than typical cost

I missed something, what are the "QC issues with the Trooper"?
    Stick

Board policy mandates I state that I shoot for BCM. I have also done work for 200 or so manufacturers within the firearm community. I am prior service, a full time LEO, firearm instructor, armorer, TL, martial arts instructor, and all around good guy.

I also shoot and write for various publications. Let me know if you know cool secrets or have toys worthy of an article...

They're crying about the "L" in Colt not being deeply stamped on a few and the one guy who got the Trooper with the broken rail bolt. The other 2,500 that I bet were ordered, including the 2 I got, are flawless.

EDIT: The DD MK18 Upper is on sale for $750 so with coupon, $675 shipped. That's cheaper than every one USED I've seen on TOS.

Seems like a better complaint for arfcom if that is what it really is. Colt scuffs, imperfect stampings, and minor other marks have been going on for a very long time. The only "issue" I had heard of was where the snapped bolt, and a rail being a degree off from perfect. Neither of those are great, but are still isolated cases.
