Damn the "why" part. The zero nine cant touch the three zero, man. Sure, the chevron is nice but the BIG ASS Field Of Vew of the RX30 makes killing things with it all the "more gooder". I had a 09. I dont miss it. I did fo awile but time moves on (and the 09 didnt).

And for all us EOTech fans...the RX30 is what we have been waiting for. No, it doesnt have the super neat-o keen SWAT ninja reticle but I have feeling it wont be taking a powder in a gunfight either.

It's funny you've mentioned that particular fact.

It looks as though the RX-30 has been created as everything one love's about the EOTech with all the things you love about Trijicon.

Same story on the TX30. Everything you might be digging on the ML3, but everything you expect from a Trijicon.

Now, if Trijicon can conjure up something to compare to the Micro T-1...

    Thumbs up

Aimpoint for the ruggedness win, hands down. Now that that's been said...
I have the RX30 on both my STG-556's and my son's FS2000. Fiber optics are much brighter & more efficient than on earlier versions, FOV through the 42mm objective is huge, tritium is nice & bright (compared to the dim/wan TriPower's tritium), 6.5moa dot is usable to at least 200yds (max range I've tested to date) although I'd prefer a chevron or triangle. Reticle washout is still possible but it's much harder to achieve. Ex: In my totally blacked out garage w/the side door open to bright sunlight (and the only light available for the optic) I had to stand 20' away from the door before the dot faded completely against a light target in the sunlight. It's also usable w/a taclight at night except at point-blank range against a white target. Std height BUIS provide a 1/3 cowitness.
IMHO the RX30 is a great KISS optic for those who dislike batteries, switches, intensity adjustments, etc.

    STG's w/RX30's:

    View through the RX30 at 8am w/the sun at my 3 o'clock:

If I can find out if the RX30 will cowitness with the KRISS, I think LFE has me sold on it.

I'll try and do some homework on this issue before I jump at it.

    Trijicon RX30

Looking to see if anyone has a solution or thoughts on the RX30 when utilizing a Surefire X300 as a weapon light, and during night shooting.

I just ran a range and the reticle is almost completely invisible when the weapon light is turned on.

I'd be interested in this also, the tritium is not that bright without the ambient light source present. I thought that a weapon light may drown out the dot.

Having the light at a 3 or 4 o'clock position helps, try positioning the light so it does not focus in the same area as the dot, it makes it easier to see.

    RX30

    Thanks for the reply.......

I've got the optic on the top of the forearm and the light on the right side just behind the front sight. This puts it at the 3. Any ideas on how to change its focus, are you thinking some kind of shim?

I have a Daniel Defense FL Mount that works well, it drops it a bit lower that the 3 o'clock position.

Have you tried adjusting the focus on your Flashlight?
