I have an rm01 that is auto adj and when I turn on the wml the dit gets washed out. The rm06 you can control the brightness to prevent that from happening.

Yeah, 7 MOA is (approx,) 3.5" at 50 yds., not 14".

Aaron Cowan and others are starting to move towards the 1 moa dots because of the precision aspect. Believes that you can see more of the threat/target if the dot is smaller. Not that much harder to pick up with practice

I will throw this out there after listening to the newer P&S podcast on pistol dots. Holosun is regarded very well by some hard use guys and has rmr footprint. One of the guys on the podcast said he likes the 507c for hog hunting because it has a 2 moa dot for precise shots, but he frequently uses the larger circle dot reticle as well. If the pig is running you can use the edge of the larger target to lead the pig and get a good shot on it. Just something else to consider

Cowan and most of those dudes probably shoot better on their worst day than I will on my best for quite some time. Obviously YMMV, but 3.25 works great IMO.

My 2 cents - I have completely switched over to 1 moa (RM09). You can always turn up the brightness and get a 3 to 4 moa dot. But you can also turn it down to 1 moa and make amazing hits at distance. I just replaced my last 3.5 moa dots (3 handguns and a PDW). Its an expensive upgrade but totally worth it. I think once you shoot 1 moa you would not go back.

You have made your decision but will add my thoughts.
ATEI milled a M&P for me and added a RMR06 type 1, before type 2's. It is a fun shooter and accurate, my astigmatism and red, I see a comma.
My M&P 2.0 Compact I had a RMR07 6.5 moa MRDS milled in by Doug. Again quicker to pick up, but a BIGGER COMMA
Glock 19 MOS, I picked up a RMR06 type 1 from Aim Surplus for a great price, back to the smaller comma. Mo Better for me
My AR's have HOLOSUN with green dots and I see more of a DOT than a comma.
My ACOG has a GREEN Chevron, EZ to use the points and edges of the ^

    Trijicon, You hearing me??

If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

The last thing I want to do is hurt you,
but it's still on my list.

I really like the 6.5 dot for carry but I have a 3.25 on a Glock 34 that’s a lazer on the range
