The AR equivalent of a Labradoodle

OK, I'm a lurker who got a warning that I have to post something, or I'll be pruned. So, I guess I'll show y'all one of the strange little ARs I've put together.

A while back, Quarter Circle 10 started offering QC5 receiver pairs that accept H&K MP5 mags. The upper receiver is a side-charger, on the left. They looked interesting, so I decided to try a set. I added:

    • a Ballistic Advantage 5.5" barrel (9mm, 1:10, 1/2"x28)
    • an Aeon Tac LWB stock on a 6-position CAR extension with a 5.5-oz buffer
    • a Spinta BCG (9mm)
    • a Magpul MOE pistol grip
    • H&K 416 front & rear sights (pic-mount)
    • a generic 4" free-float handguard
    • an H&K MP5 front grip (modified)
    • a Gemtech Mark-9 K suppressor
    • other bits & do-dads as needed

The lower receiver is a registered SBR (via Form-1). If no can is available, a 3-lug adapter looks kinda' cool.

Comments welcome. Here's to not being pruned ...

    Nice rifle.

What sights are those and where did you get them? I'd like to put them on my New Frontier C5.

I like it! Compared to a 5.56 SBR, how's the recoil?
