    RHINOWSO,

There price with a better mount is great but out of stock, the price is better then other selling for the same or higher with the regular mount!

As you said in your first post "maybe" out to 100-200 yards...for this "maybe" reason alone I would get the Aimpoint. Shooting faster at close range you won't have to worry about eye box, or eye relief like you would with a magnified optic (think scope shadow). Also, it is still possible to shoot a 2-3" or maybe even smaller 5 shot group with your Aimpoint at 100 yards. You will easily hit B/C zone steel at 200 yards with the Aimpoint too. Also, like another member said you can always add a magnifier. I believe LaRue packages an Aimpoint 3x with flip and quick release for around $300.

All that being said if you want to shoot smaller groups at range and have an easier time hitting steal at 300-500 yards get the magnification.

    Good luck...and enjoy the process!

A lot of good info here. For a decent optic on the cheap, The sig Romeo 5 on Amazon for $112 with mount. I dont like it better than my Aimpoint M4's or T1,2's but I like better than my Pro.

I know the AP Pro costs about 4x as much but they have been on the market for 8 years, there are a lot of them out there, and you just don't hear about issues with them.

What happens when the glue holding the guts of the Chinese sight melts/softens from being in a vehicle on a summer day? Won't happen with the PRO.
