There price with a better mount is great but out of stock, the price is better then other selling for the same or higher with the regular mount!

As you said in your first post "maybe" out to 100-200 yards...for this "maybe" reason alone I would get the Aimpoint. Shooting faster at close range you won't have to worry about eye box, or eye relief like you would with a magnified optic (think scope shadow). Also, it is still possible to shoot a 2-3" or maybe even smaller 5 shot group with your Aimpoint at 100 yards. You will easily hit B/C zone steel at 200 yards with the Aimpoint too. Also, like another member said you can always add a magnifier. I believe LaRue packages an Aimpoint 3x with flip and quick release for around $300.
All that being said if you want to shoot smaller groups at range and have an easier time hitting steal at 300-500 yards get the magnification.
