    Pro 2nd Amendment Organizations?

What ones do you below to, and more importantly, what drew you to them? I'm looking for a hard charging grassroots group that is taking the fight to the enemy and actually winning some battles!

I get a lot of emails asking me to join this one or that one and I'd like to get some context and real world feedback before parting with my money...

    GOA, NRA, 2AF, FPC, etc.

    Thanks!

Don’t waste money on GOA. They literally do next to nothing. They merely file an amicus to others’ hard work and draft form letters. It exists for a way for the Pratt’s to get rich.

If donating to NRA, send it straight to the ILA. They have had some good results and do actual work. NRA-ILA doesn’t waste its rather small budget on cases they can’t win, and they often get bashed for not taking on every law in places like California. I wish the NRA as a whole operated more like the ILA.

SAF and FPC are two of the best and a good place for your donations.

I was going to say GOA but I'll have to look into the claims in post #2.

Many states have good state-level organizations. We have Michigan Gun Owners which is very effective on our state and local issues and has been extremely valuable over the last 20+ years, as with their help we went from a very restrictive state to one that's not too bad. And I don't think anyone is getting rich from MGO either. Being a state organization it's possible to actually meet and get to know some of its directors and senior officers.

Looks like OP is in Alaska, but whatever state you're in, consider your state gun rights organization.

I've heard nothing but great things about SAF for national level type stuff.

Next place I donate will be FPC.

NRA has never been a 2A Org so my money goes to GOA and OFF.

I looked at their tax forms, and while there is a tidy amount coming in, I wouldn't call it enough to make them 'rich.'

I joined and sent them (GOA) one donation, after looking further, I decided to support FPC.
