I have no experience with sub-carbine length gas systems, but that certainly won't work. What's the barrel?

Gents I removed the barrel to find that it's an 8 inch barrel but now I'm not sure what length tube I need.

The 8" barrel will use a pistol-length tube which is typically close to 4.5".

Please measure the barrel and report back.

Try to use calipers and be as accurate as possible.

    This drawing is correct.

Note: there are at least two different "pistol" lengths.
