    A2 build question

So it's been forever and 5 sundays since I've even seen an a2 stock. Because I can't remember my question is this:
Can I put a qd sling reciever plate on an a2 setup?

    A2 build question

    Yes kind of...

Carbine receiver plates won’t work. You’ll need a special plate (insert) that goes between the receiver and the stock.

Here’s the first google result I found from RRA but I know Midwest Industries makes one too (all the coolness with none of the political baggage).

Edit to add: I reread your post and see you’re looking for QD vs straight sling or HK clip. I haven’t seen one specifically for QD but they may exist. You could also drill/imbed a QD point in the stock which is more permanent or you could replace the rear sling loop with a QD attachment from a specialty company...maybe GG&G or IWC?...that I remember seeing a while back.

I’ll add that in a subsequent post if I can find it.

    Noveske has these.

    Tangodown makes this:

kinda funky and expensive but it works. I would swear that years ago I used one on a A1 stock, not sure why they say it won't work on one.

You may want to take a look at this too.

No permanent modification to the stock but it may cause the rifle to hang at an odd orientation.

This is what I was referring to. With an a2 stock I'm not gonna be running nose to charging handle like I would for my shorter/cqb setups; so I dont think the bulk will interfere with much

That looks like a pretty decent solution to what the OP is looking for. I think I'm gonna have to give that try

Could be worth hitting up Blue Force Gear to see if they would make a molded universal wire loop with a cable of the needed length.
