Notice the difference in thickness. The thicker gas block is a BCM and the other is a Cross Machine & Tool. Would the difference have any affect on performance in relation heat?

The extra weight is due to the outer shape being the same for their 750 and 625 versions.

The picture doesn’t show the difference that well but the BCM is twice at thick as the CMT.
