Sig produced many different versions. I’d say your best bet would be to look at GunBroker history of similar items. Of course it also depends on the condition and reliability of the particular rifle.
Saw one for sale; was curious - not now! Thanks for responses.
Yeah any SIG Sauer NH 556 is a total pass unless you want a poor replica and it's REALLY cheap (<$500 would by my personal price point).
I owned one back when they came out, it shot fire, slung brass into the next county, but I made the smart choice to sell during the pre-Obama gun crazy for $1200-ish - bought 2 AR lowers, SBR'ed one, and built out the other as a full rifle.
Aside from the reliability issues and total lack of factory support for the 556 rifles, the two biggest complaints that I’ve heard are that they’re over gassed and front heavy. In fairness, the same can be said for the Swiss rifles too.
I got lucky with my 556 Classic and 556 Classic SBR. Both have been 100% since I bought them new. The SBR is one of my favorite rifles. However, when comparing them to my Swiss rifles, there’s absolutely no denying that they’re not in the same league.
I’ve adiosed all but one 556 and only keep it because it is converted into a 552 SBR. I have way more money into it than I could ever get out of it if I sell it. All other 55x are Swiss. IMO the Exeter 556 is best purchased to part out for (some) spares and 922(r) parts.
