    Rainier Arms Match/Ultramatch Barrels

I’m researching parts for a precision 6.5CM build. I’m currently eyeing the Rainier Arms Match 22” barrel with +2 gas system. Does anyone here have experience with their barrels or should I look somewhere else?

They're good to go; ie very high quality. The barrels 2nd gen barrels incorporate a larger gas block journal of .800 and come with a low profile gas block and longer gas tube for the extended gas system.

I appreciate the response. Is that the Match or the Ultramatch?

I agree, they are extremely accurate but a little on the large size of reliability for their gas ports however if you are considering suppressing them. I might also recommend V7 barrels as they have a lifetime warranty, even with use and unlimited shot count.

I’m going with an adjustable gas block, shouldn’t that help with a larger size gas
    port?

I’ll look at V7, thanks for the recommendation.

I have a Ultramatch Mod2 barrel and it shoots great. Very accurate.

I bought the ultramatch in 223 wylde probably 6 or 7 years ago. Bought it for long range precision 800 yards plus. Best group I got was .3 moa for 5 rounds of 77 gr SMK. Shot constantly 1/2 MOA for much of its life. I’m on 9k+ rounds through that SS Barrel and it’s just started opening up to almost 1 moa. Yes. I would buy a new one without hesitation.

I have a .308 and a .223 Wylde Ultramatch. Both are .6MOA barrels for me—I am sure could be better if I was a better shooter. I would not hesitate to purchase another.

They start going on some really good sales around this time IIRC.
