I would say so. I was issue my first M16A1 back in 1978 at Parris Island. I have built a series of M16A1 clones spanning from 1967-1982. The only thing about building a clone of a M16A1 is finding all of the correct (or close to correct) parts in stock. One thing for sure, you need to have deep pockets.
