How does the 553 suppress? Any additional port noise or etc? I imagine gas to face isnt an issue in a piston gun.

Make sure you get a 4 position valve and you will be fine. Mine is running a particularly gassy suppressor like a champ.

Yep, you think you know SIG rifles because you might own a 550 and 551 and then you open a 552 for the first time and you learn one of these things is not like the other.

    Just saying.
Yeah, I had one. Obviously it came from CCF when they brought in "replacement receivers" and "parts kits." They dried up fast, prices went sky high and I was able to sell it and get a 550 and 551 SBR that were both original guns.

Would love to be able to add a 551 LB to the stable again. Also need a 553 to replace my 552 which I had to sell.

I think I remember drooling over the pictures you posted of your CCF 551-LB.

I actually would be shocked if you ever broke anything on a SAN built 55x rifle but being the OCD guy that I am...I have a complete spare bolt, spare lower, gas tube assembly and springs for my 551 and 553.

I’ve has around four of the CCF receivers and kits. They were/are neat. The 551 LB is the least interesting of all the 55x to me. The 16” OAL barrel 551s are among my favorites. And the PE90. And the 551 SB. And the 553. These Swiss rifles are really enjoyable to collect and shoot.

Something about the barrel profile does it for me. As with M4s it's a useless feature for us since we won't be using rifle grenades, but it still is distinctive for me. Probably has something to do with looking at that Remtek page in in the early days of the internet.

Ive sampled many exotic flavors. A full auto 552 was one of the smoothest full autos ive shot. The swiss sigS are gold and priced accordingly. The us sig crap is awful but they think tbey are gold. Ive never played w an ARX, bug for the price mentioned above wluld be tempted. I think you are better off getting another aug. Perhaps try the nato stock. Maybe a 9mm conversion. Or pimp it out w corvus via steyr. The owner of battlefield las vegas has famously said that based on reliability and long term durability if he could only have one it would be an aug. I think he probably knows something about it.

Btw i have a few thosand rds full auto in my aug w no cleaning or maintenance. The gaz system is entirely contained w the barrel. So when it does get too dirty, just swap barrels. I know, im horrible. But my aug is awesome.

Too late, sold out... unless one wants to pay about $600 more else where.
