The only reason to buy any one of these over a short-action AR is the cool factor and nostalgia. There is no real other reason.
So in sum, buy a BM59.

If going for nostalgia or wanting to add a reference piece, the HK91, FAL, and M14 are all good options. As a shooter, it’s hard to beat the LMT MWS and KAC CC/PC. The MWS mlok with 16” chrome lined LW barrel weighs in about the same as the KAC PC. Best ergos, easy to suppress, easy optic mounting, spare parts available and reasonable cost (LMT). The modern AR10 iteration crushes those legacy designs.

I like the FAL and the M1A
I have all 3 also and if I sold them all for top dollar it still would not be enough to buy a Sig 550-2SP.

I have the M1a scout. I like the feel of the wood stock and its fun to too. If i need to use it for serious work. I am grabbing my AR10 with 20" barrel in 308.
Easily the G3.
I love my FALs and G3 together..

I believe in peace, love and extremely violent weapons systems... just in case that whole peace-and-love thing doesn't work out.
