    the problem isn't really the barrel, I've everything ready to go but the upper. Cannot find an upper to build that 727!!!!!!

    While they are getting harder and harder to find, and more and more expensive, my favorite route is simply buy a Colt 6520 and go from there.
    The best ones are from the late 90s.
    With what 6520 barrels go for, and what all the other parts cost, its cheaper in the long run.
    My three 727/ US Prop M4 / XM-4 builds all started as Colt donor rifles.

    it's times like this that I regret clearing out my 'retro' safe lol

    I put a wtb up, don't need a great one as I'm gonna paint it od so we'll see.

    I have two upper builds with Colt 6720 [I think that's the proper designation..] pencil barrels. One shortened to 14.7 with P&W . Got both off of gunbroker.
