I have a budget Radical Firearms AR pistol that sees very little use.
I took it out for the first time in a couple of years it ran about 5 rounds fine then it wouldn't cycle the next round. This usually means it's a gas issue.

I had a little down time at the range while waiting for others so I took the handguard off and double checked that the set screws were tight and the block hasn't moved and they were solid.

I put the handguard back on and it cycled fine.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't the ammo since I used what was left in the magazine in my other rifle and it ran fine.

If I take the block off what should I be looking for to determine if this is my issue?
