    Diagnosing gas block/port issue?

I have a budget Radical Firearms AR pistol that sees very little use.
I took it out for the first time in a couple of years it ran about 5 rounds fine then it wouldn't cycle the next round. This usually means it's a gas issue.

I had a little down time at the range while waiting for others so I took the handguard off and double checked that the set screws were tight and the block hasn't moved and they were solid.

I put the handguard back on and it cycled fine.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't the ammo since I used what was left in the magazine in my other rifle and it ran fine.

If I take the block off what should I be looking for to determine if this is my issue?

Did you try another BCG? That is were i would start before taking the upper apart. Also inspect the gas key where the tube enters to make sure it isnt deformed etc... I have seen that cause issues on other threads before

If anything it was wet, I lubed it before taking it out.

Separate the 2 rcvrs and remove the ch / bcg from upper.

Plug the barrel extension / chamber 100%.

Blow firmly into muzzle end of barrel and check for decent flow by placing fingertip near end of gas tube.

Place fingertip over end of gas tube within rcvr.

Blow really hard into the barrel from the muzzle.

It should feel like your face is gonna explode or, you should detect some level of leak.

Or do the same but you don't have to blow all that hard to detect a leak. Just make sure the barrel is plugged very well and fingertip over gas tube end.
