After some internet research, I don't know what this Eotech G30 is.
Eotechgear's website only lists the G33.
OpticsPlanet has this Eotech G30. Is it new? Was it an old model? Is it a special edition made for OpticsPlanet?

I don't know and I don't plan on calling Eotech or Optics Planet late on a Saturday night as both companies are probably closed.
I defer to someone else to get the answer about this G30 model.

    EDITED w/New Info.
I found this statement on Opticsforyou.com's website:
"Providing shooters with the same great magnification properties as our battle-tested
G33 Magnifier at less than half the cost, this new-for-2020 product features a quickdetach
fixed mount for fast and simple mounting and unmounting behind an HWS.
The G30 works with all EOTECH HWS models.
    "

Is it really Eotech and just not yet on Eotechgear's website or is it some kind of counterfeit? I don't know.

This product will officially be announced at SHOT Show 2020.

It's a more affordable 3x magnifier. Optically it's the same as the G33, but it removes the flip to side mount and the rubber armor, and is made off-shore.

Necroposting a bit... anyone else give one a try? Local shop had one and agreed to match basspro $299 sight.

Reports with side by side comparison with the G33 are pretty favorable *for the money*. You lose 33' water (vs 3'), the armor (but also lose some ounces) and most critically, it's not tip-off, just quick detach.

Optical quality appears to be very comparable to the G33.
