I managed to get through on the Geissele site after a lot of refreshing and ordered a SSA-E and two OD green charging handles. Also picked up three Magpul Scorpion mags for $15.99 ea from Primary Arms' sale. Don't have a Scorpion, but it's on the wishlist. I also bought a Blue Label G19 Gen 5 FS yesterday - after breaking it in, it will replace my G19 Gen 3 as my primary pistol.
I've been looking for a BF deal on a set of Troy folding backup sights, or at least a rear one - it seemed like they were everywhere last year for almost half price, but I'm not seeing them this year.
Finally got the Geissele site to load, and each page loaded painfully slowly, but worth it...snagged a SSA-E. Excellent.
Purchased two Geissele ambi posi-snap safety selectors and another maritime latch.
I had zero plans to buy anything from Geissele. However, their Duty upper... Seems like I could get the best handguard short of the KAC URX 4, sell the barrel, BCG, and upper, and have for less than $200.
Maybe that’s blasphemy, but the only build plan I have for 5.56 right now is a suppressed only upper with BRT’s EXC barrel. This would help with that.
I’m trying to understand what barrel profile is on the super duty rifles?
The duty rifles it clearly says it’s a heavy profile. But they are nitrided, non-chf I believe. Probably a really accurate barrel.
The super duty’s are CHF and chrome lined I think but it doesn’t say what type of profile it is.
Missed out on $350 Trijicon MRO and $140 15" BCM MCMR rail from primary arms. Anyone got a line on either of these fro similar prices?
Just going to throw this out there: I ordered the Duty Upper. All I really need is the handguard, and I don’t mind keeping the upper receiver. So, if anyone wants the 11.5” Geissele barrel, gas block, gas tube, and BCG for a solid price, feel free to shoot me a PM. I’ll end up posting in the EE once I receive, but have no shame in offering now. I won’t be looking to make a killing, just offset the cost of the handguard.
