Black Friday 2019: What are you getting?

I am still planning to maybe get some Geissele for Thanksgiving 2019. I'm not sure, it's 8 weeks out today

Guys,

We are going to miss sending out about 13% of our BF orders. I expect most of them will be sent out in the next two weeks, all of them by the end of February.

I apologize that we did not send out all orders in 8 weeks. The response to BF was overwhelming and when stock ran out in literary hours after the sale started we figured we could complete stuff that was partially finished to give everybody a chance at a killer deal. Unfortunately, we were not able to complete everything due to multiple issues that had to do with anodizing of colors, miscalculation of what was actually on hand, our UV borescope breaking so we couldn’t complete Magnetic Particle inspection on proofed barrels and other things.

I will say that complaints about our Customer Service are not warranted. I have great teammates who have worked nights and weekends to try and handle the deluge of emails and phone calls. It was just impossible for them to keep up. I am proud of them.

For future sales we will have our website configured to take back orders that will only charge when the item ships.

If you have an order in with us and want to cancel it please let us know and we will happily do so. For those customers that are willing to bear with us a little longer all orders that go out starting Monday will have a 35% off coupon included with your gear or rifle.

Well I got a shipping confirmation from them.

I'll be interested to see if I made the cut for 35% off coupon. Honestly I'll be kind of pissed if I did not, we'll see.

You realize, of course, that you agreed to an 8 week wait and...it hasn't been 8 weeks yet.

IIRC it was on their website between Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Geissele is in the business of making money. While their website crashes sucked, I'm certain there was a 'method to the madness' on the number of product they sold on Black Friday and the fact that ALL buyers agreed to get cheap stuff, they may have to wait 8-weeks (ie after Christmas). That allowed Geissele to sell more product and make more money by getting stuff sold and shipped for Christmas.

Again, if you bought Black Friday Geissele stuff, YOU agreed to up to an 8 week delivery timeline. That date is 23 Jan 2020. Yeah some people got their stuff already, maybe Bill hates you, maybe your momma dropped you on your head when you were a baby and you have trouble with logic & reason, IDK - but life isn't fair, especially when you wait all year to buy stuff on sale.

And hey, when Jan 24th hits and your stuff isn't here, I'm all for complaining then. But until then, ppl should STFU, drink eggnog, and $hit.

People have posted about emailing Geissele a week ago to ask for an ETA. Like, come on man, leave them the **** alone so they can spend their time getting our shit out. Please, anybody reading this, don't bug them for an ETA a few weeks into a stated 8 week wait. No, it's not "just a simple email" when they get hundreds of them from 'you guys'

Bet they don't read the Terms of Service before ticking "I Accept" on their software licenses either... I'm tempted to code some niche app and bury a line in the legalese gobbledygook about "Licensee agrees to relinquish claim over their mortal soul to Licensor as part of this contract," see how many people notice and then have an auto response of "You DO realize you just sold your soul to [company] for this license, right? Contract is signed, legal and binding in perpetuity, no refunds..."

Never mind you checked a box that said order may take 8 weeks to ship...

You realize some people's orders were shipped and received in the time between people whining 4-6 weeks in, and now, right?

It's a waste of everybody's time and only makes matters worse to email them after 4 weeks (yeah people were doing that) asking where the stuff is. This does not change that

Bingo. Y'all agreed to an 8-week wait when you placed your orders; I don't have that problem because I didn't need anything from G this year, and my prior post was mocking the "it's been half the time I agreed to where's my crap" comments. Not sure why LSHD quoted me in that mix...

Personally, besides having the patience of Job, I got a great deal on the stuff I ordered on BF and it’s winter time here in Ohio, so not really that big of deal to *me*, but as usual YMMV. The main thing for me is, when I do get the stuff, I just hope it is right and to spec.

Same. If it's all kickass perfect when it arrives and I get a 35% coupon that's good for 6 months from receipt of said coupon, and covers basically everything that was on sale for BF (basically all the G branded stuff), I'm good. Being an election year, assuming things come back in stock in a couple or few months and I'm happy with the first wave of shit, I'll be using that coupon

I’d happily take over someone’s order if possible and I didn’t feel like I’d get screwed over. I’d be all about a super duty 11.5 upper and 35% off coupon. Knew I should’ve bought one.
