[QUOTE=grizzman;2793286] I agree that either this or a conversion on a dedicated frame makes more sense that running a .22 LR conversion on the primary's frame.
I have a .22 upper that I had dedicated to a Glock 22 frame. Last year I decided to put my 24C upper on the G22 frame so I bought three new stripped frames for $75.00 each. I had enough parts to build two frames, so I wasn't really out anything other than the $75.00 for the new frame.
But, running the numbers, if you don't have a lot of pieces and parts laying around, buying the G44 seems more sensible:
AA Conversion: 294.00
Glock 17 Frame (complete): 179.00
Magazine: $24.95 (kit comes with one - Glock 44 comes with two)
Total: $498.00
Glock 44 MSRP is $439.00 and folks are saying street price of around $350.00.
Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the President... - Theodore Roosevelt, Lincoln and Free Speech, Metropolitan Magazine, Volume 47, Number 6, May 1918.
