Excellent pro-2A testimony given by a citizen during a Suffolk Co VA Board of Supervisors meeting, during a discussion about declaring the county a 2A sanctuary.

Democratic lawmakers on Capitol Hill say local police who do not enforce gun control measures likely to pass in Virginia should face prosecution and even threats of the National Guard.

After November's Virginia Legislature elections that led to Democrats taking control of both chambers, the gun control legislation proposed by some Democrats moved forward, including universal background checks, an “assault weapons” ban, and a red flag law.

Legal firearm owners in the state, however, joined with their sheriffs to form Second Amendment sanctuary counties, which declare the authorities in these municipalities uphold the Second Amendment in the face of any gun control measure passed by Richmond.

The ComDems have so many double standards and talk out both sides of their mouths so much that I cannot listen to anything they say. Sanctuary cities and legal marijuana in spite of federal law? Well, that is ok to ignore those federal laws. Gun bans, registrations and confiscations laws in spite of the Constitution? It is not ok to ignore those laws. Every Lib can go pound sand as they have zero credibility.

"Democratic lawmakers on Capitol Hill say local police who do not enforce gun control measures likely to pass in Virginia should face prosecution and even threats of the National Guard."

Prosecution for what exactly? Not enforcing the law?? OK, then, let's see Mr. AG choke on this: charge EVERYONE for every chargeable offense...nail as many people for speeding, that yellow traffic light? Looked red to me. Flood the courts through enforcing ALL laws; oh and by the way, we were too busy enforcing all the other laws to even think about these laws.... The courts would bog down to a glacial pace, and cops would have to be in court all day, every day.

Threats of the National Guard. Really? Does 'Kent State' ring a bell? Talk about lighting a fuse.

Is anyone else hearing Fred Thompson's voice warning us?
~Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

Just a guess, but where are most of the Guard troops from.... Maybe a bit different because of DC and former MIL.

Guys show up for duty and kit up and then tell the gov that they are there for the Constitution, not as their goons...
The Second Amendment ACKNOWLEDGES our right to own and bear arms that are in common use that can be used for lawful purposes. The arms can be restricted ONLY if subject to historical analogue from the founding era or is dangerous (unsafe) AND unusual.

    It's that simple.

Agree and they would be showing up for very unliked governor. And who the hell are the “democratic lawmakers on capital hill”. Are they even from VA. If not they can piss off and go deal with their own state.
