Do y'all have any dealing with the HRT RAC plate carrier, I believe it was the same one that John with the Warrior Poet Society reviewed last month. For my $200 budget, it fits perfectly, and the reviews I have seen all compliment it well. The only complaint I heard one guy bring up was the lack of a cumberbund, but they offer what seems to be a pretty solid one for an extra $50, which I would add.

What is the best company to go with for armor plates for the price? While they're on sale, I figured I better go ahead and get some. I have settled on the HRT HRAC Adaptive Plate Carrier. For the size, they offer a medium (10x12.5) vs a large (10x13). I figured I would just go with a large. Also, I have read where Spartan Armor has been reviewed above AR500. What are y'all's thoughts on this?

I just got an email from US Elite Gear and they are having a great sale on HSGI carriers, for the price I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal.

As to armor, if you want non steel armor look at Mr Gunsngears YouTube channel and look up body armor reviews, he had some great ceramic plates he tested for a great price.

The SKD PIG BRIG PC & Plates are a nice minimal setup. I bought the package, put the 3 5.56 mag holder on the front w/side plates/holders on the cummerbund, and am plenty happy with it. Even with the side plates it's pretty non-bulky and I don't notice it much while shooting thanks to the shooter cut plates.

    Steel's crap.

Heavy, and won't stop as much. Friends don't let friends wear steel.

RMA Armament, bulletproofme.com, AT Armor, Shellback Tactical, are good sources.

I know you said you settled on a PC, I had to mention the BFG Plateminus. My HH6 runs one, it's crazy light and slick/low profile. 'Bout as minimalist as they come.

OP Tactical in Raleigh is GTG

    +1 skip steel

decide on plates first, PC is secondary, when you know what plates you have it'll be easier to figure out which PC to go with

AT Armor & SKDTac are both GTG

Their tactical company has more options, some are made overseas which is why they are separate companies to stay Berry Complaint.

+1. I have 3 6094A carriers. Good kit. Very durable. Very comfortable.

I have a Mayflower APC. Pretty simple, well made. I am pleased and would recommend to a friend. While I don’t have a battle belt, theVelocity Systems ones looks pretty legit.

Kota outfitters has Hescos- sold 4401 single curve shooters plate a pair for $200- which was a hell of a deal. Have a slickster coming tomorrow, will see how I like them.
