    Hi all,

So I fired 30 rounds with it my first time today when I noticed metal shavings flying all over. The suppressor is shot; warped from the muzzle end all the way inside. Metal is still falling out. Also my muzzle break chipped as well. I shot 300 black out hornady ammo. I’m trying to upload pics but it’s not working. Emailed surefire ASAP.

Who installed the brake? Did you check for proper alignment?

Spikes is hot garbage but hopefully the can is salvageable.

I installed the break. I used three shims to get it into alignment. No issues. The rifle is fine. Just the break and silencer are shot.

That sounds more like timing, not checking the bore alignment.

First thought I’d guess concentricity was off. Curious about the specs on the barrel and ammo you used? Ever notice any tumbling or key point before?

    PSA.

The chart below references drill rod you can from McMaster Carr or wherever. True to 0.0005 and is like 6$ a stick (I’m looking at you Geissele with your 80$ rod).

    Insurance never exists this cheap.

JP, that’s great info. Forgive my ignorance on ordering parts and raw material... Would you have an example of a part number at for instance McMaster Carr?
