I use both.

I like the VCAS for matches and training and stuff where the I'm running the gun a lot.

I like the VTAC padded for everything else. I cut the end off the tail and let it dangle. Gives more adjustment. I've used these on quads, motos, helos, even horseback.

I avoid padding, it absorbs water and can cause a rash while the rest of your high speed clothing is dry.

I've had the Vickers but it was an older one that was only the 1" webbing. It wasn't very comfortable. I switched to a Magpul MS1 amd it works well
