If you look this appears to in fact be a new model Python.

Everyone will complain it’s not as good as the old one. Probably the haters will be right too.

Yep. No hand fitting, lots of MIM parts, probably not the best cosmetics or trigger.

For the record I hope I’m wrong on all counts.

Didnt we just have a thread here saying how there are NO 'smiths left to repair or even work on Pythons, how all the old Colt workers who did are long gone, and the factory machinery was sold and long gone? I read that here less than a week ago..now there's talk of it coming back?
Id bet money you are right Coal Dragger. But if they wind up being of the quality of old, theyll be so damned high most wont be able to afford them.
Ill believe when I see it, not before.

Let’s hope all the mentions of CNC means lots of machined parts and few if any MIM parts.

I have become so much more interested in a revolver lately. I have no reason or need for one other than they are fun. I enjoy shooting my Dad's SW 19 from time to time.

Revolvers are fun, and can still be practical defensive tools even if modern semi-autos are a better choice in a lot of circumstances. For someone willing to train and learn to shoot 6 rounds of .357 Magnum can still take care of a lot of business.

Not sexy though, everyone wants to be a super ninja operator operating operationally and shit. Can’t do that with a shiny wheel gun though.

I can have fun with it though. Eagerly awaiting a new Anaconda, cause if I am going to have only 6 rounds on board I want them to be big.
