I'd bet money they're the same mim parts as the new cobra / king cobra, given some detailing.

...and I'd happily lose that money to be wrong.

The action on the new Python sounds identical to the older ones. That is promising.

Once they hit market at normal pricing, I will definitely pick one up to compare to the original.

I just don’t understand why the new Python looks like an old Python and the new Cobras look like a short cut with the name Cobra?

The Python is the first "new" Colt revolver I've given a second thought to. I have no idea why they decided to release a new Cobra that's entirely stainless. If they had made it with an aluminum frame, they'd have a serious competitor to J-frames.
